Book Review of Sleep Then My Princess.

My Review

The book is one of the classic suspense and crime thriller. The eerie atmosphere that surrounds the story will make you uncomfortable at times. But the way the events take place one after the other will keep you in the hunt of what gave way to the events that followed.

Stephani Robbins a young tissue scientist is disturbed by a stalker who sends her roses, teddy bear and photos of her past. She panics when she receives an anonymous call from the stalker and seeks help from her friend Richard.

But one day when she moves out of her apartment with her niece Donnie, she is kidnapped by the stalker and now everyone around her try their best to pin point her location.

At this point there were two suspects who could have kidnapper her and you have to read further in the story to find out what happens next.

What I didn't like about the plot was that it was predictable as to who was the kidnapper and that didn't do any good revealing the kidnapper soon in the story.

The author could have kept the suspense till the very end.

I did love the story and had a great time reading.

About the book

Sleep then My Princess is an emotional thriller set in Arizona. While mourning the death of her husband, Senior Tissue Engineer, Stephani Robbins, is plagued by recurring visions of a child being locked up in a chicken coop. Meanwhile, someone is sending her creepy love poems, roses, and photos that have been taken without Stephani's knowledge.
As more photos appear, the police suspect that Stephani has hired someone to take these photos. Before she can convince the police to take her seriously, she is kidnapped. While imprisoned she discovers why she has been having these visions and it is more chilling than she ever imagined. Can she make it out alive?

What some of my beta readers said...
"Wow! You've got a thriller with a level of horrific reality here.
You take the reader inside a perverted serial killer's head and an innocent woman whose life has been ripped from her and whose present season of recovery is being trespassed. You describe the love of an adoring niece for her mourning auntie and this connects the reader to the prologue and adds another level of emotion to this already captivating plot.
What a book!"

"I have to say 'wow' because your writing style is so picturesque. You show a every detail to plainly. I was captured right away.
The showing is real and to telling, which is a top virtue in any real book.
The main character Stephanie has a sassy attitude underneath all of the hurt. Her story is heart breaking and so deep I felt her agony.
This is a worthy read."

"O.N. Stefan, this one is so chilling and well written. The villain jumps off the page at the reader and scare the bejeebers out of you. You descriptions of the lab scene in the first chapter are right on and her getting the poem was quite spooky. The conflict of the mother and Puddles was well done showing just the type of upbringing or lack of this man had. High stars!"

"I think you have a great novel here. The prologue is intense and urged me to keep reading, as well as setting the stage for when she discovers the pictures to give a sensation of malice. Your voice is exciting and the dialogue is good. It does seem more formal at times, but that is to be expected when having highly educated characters. I especially like your detailed descriptions and the use of medical terminology."

Book Review of The First Five Days

Book Blurb

When Yosi Sint ascends the military throne of Lionea, he immediately knows that his life is in danger; as all who held the position before him died under mysterious circumstances that could only have been as a result of Dark Arts. Within the first five days of his rule, before he can begin to understand the treacherous schemes at play, those who lurk in the shadows set into motion a whirlpool of events that leave all who are caught within struggling for dear
life… An inopportune time indeed; for the beast to the North, a nation bent on subduing the might of Lionea, stands poised to invade and finish what they started eleven years ago.
In this medieval world of intrigue and peril, there’s no telling who will live or die…

My Review

Lies, conceit, deception are imbibed in the story and it kind of gives the story an extra edge over other book in this genre. The best part in the story was its quick pace and the idea of the story.

Historical fiction along with black magic, sorcery against an empire to kill the Royals at will. All of the royals who are killed in the story have committed suicide under mysterious circumstances.

How can every member of the royal family commit suicide and who is behind the ordeal?

A cloud of doubt and mistrust engulfs the story and this kept me turning the pages of the book, with the curiosity of what lies ahead in the story and what new twist the story has to offer.

And believe me the twists and turns didn’t fail and at times I wasn’t sure where the story was leading to. But in the end it all made sense and the author revealed the bigger picture. Hat’s off to the author for carving out such an incredible piece of story and taking me to an imaginary world that felt more real than imaginary.

My Review

The story revolves around a little girl Misry (named after an Indian sweet). But people around her call here Messy, just like making fun of her.

A light hearted story with the story revolving around our sweet little protagonist Misry. It is a beautiful story showcasing the beautiful lifestyle of Misry far from the humdrum of the city life.
The story shows how differently kids grow up far in the countryside and enjoy the nature than the electronics gadgets that the city kids get from their parents.

Having sweet revenge on his cousin Raju and Bheeru, it was awesome when I reading the story. It made me feel as if I am not connected to the real world and how it functions. I felt as if I am busy being busy.

Jatra an Indian play (like theaters) was something that I read about after a long long time. When I was a kid I did go to Jatra and played with goat kids and calves. I had a great time back then and really enjoyed life.

The author has done an incredible job in describing all those details and I relived the moments all over again the story.

It is a great book for kids and they will fall in love with the story plot. Whatever a little girl can do, Misry has done it.

Awesome book!

About the Author:

Veronica Thatcher is an exciting new contemporary romance author. Ever since she was very young, she’s dreamed of becoming a doctor when she grew up. While still forging ahead with that, majoring in pre-med in college, she unwittingly stumbled upon a new dream—becoming a published author. Some may call her an introvert or a wallflower, but she has always found she could express herself better in written, rather than spoken, words. However, never in her wildest dreams had she envisioned she would pursue writing as a prospective career, not just a hobby. Her love for writing goes hand-in-hand with her love for a good romance novel—whether it be a feel-good, sweet romance or a dark, suspenseful one. When she’s not studying, reading, or writing, she is usually found blasting her favourite songs, sometimes singing and dancing along to them.  She dabbles in a number of activities, including painting, karate, singing and dancing. She is a huge chocoholic – probably the biggest – and she is an ice-cream junkie too. She considers herself technologically handicapped forever and has no shame in admitting that. She also deems chocolates her boyfriend, Patrick Dempsey the love of her life, and Friends her life!

Her first book, A Way Back Into Love, is slated for release in February 2017, and she hopes readers will enjoy it as much as she enjoyed writing it. You can reach Veronica through Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, Wattpad and Gmail.
